Music at Mount Pleasant
Music plays an important part when the church meets for worship and we have a variety of groups. They enable the congregation to express its worship through both contemporary worship songs and traditional hymns. Instruments including piano, organ, keyboard, woodwind, brass, strings, guitar and drums, together with various voices are used at different services.
If you are committed to worshipping regularly at Mount Pleasant and want to use your vocal or instrumental gifts in worship please contact us by emailing music@mountpleasantchurch.com
Worship Groups
These consist of instruments and voices that lead the music at each Sunday service. The group leading on a particular Sunday meets for preparation on the previous Thursday evening.
Choir
For those who enjoy choral singing our choir meets for practice on Thursday evenings. They contribute items reflecting a variety of musical traditions to Sunday services from time to time. They also present special music particularly at Christmas and Easter and participate in regional Music Festivals.
Singing Group
This group contributes to our worship on some Sundays, singing contemporary worship songs.
Wholehearted
A young people's group of instruments and voices who express their faith through music and worship together. They meet regularly every other Monday evening and lead occasionally in Sunday services and at special events.
