In recognition that Christian mission flows from the very character and purposes of God and as an expression of our desire to serve God we encourage members of the church to take part in mission projects whether local or overseas.

2007
During 2007, two church teams went out from Mount Pleasant to serve short-term overseas with BMS World Mission.
Thailand: Firstly in April, six members spent two weeks in Musikee, Thailand working alongside our link Mission Partners, Pete and Lizz Maycock. Together they helped with several village youth camps as well as leading the children's programme at the biennial BMS World Mission retreat for workers in Asia held in Chiang Mai.
On Sunday 17 April, the Thailand team were able to make a telephone call to the 10.30 am service. Click here to listen to the call and hear what the team had to say.
Kolkata, India: In August, Mount Pleasant sent out a team of seven to Kolkata, India. The team spent two and a half weeks working with BMS World Mission. During much of their stay they helped staff mobile schools; teaching and ministering to the needs of the many destitute children who live on the streets of Kolkata.
