Junior Church

Junior Church meets every Sunday for all children from birth to teens. Parents are welcome to stay with their children at any time, but particularly if the child is new, or unsettled for any reason. Other visitors are also welcome! Everyone participates in the first part of the morning service, from 10.30, then the Junior Church continues its own programme of activities in the Church rooms. Children under 2 are in the Baby Church (creche) and youngsters over 12 are in Rock Solid; these groups have their own special programmes. Children between 2 & 4 meet in Acorns and those between 4 and 12 first join together for a worship session, with praise and teaching, then move into their different age groups for further activities.

Children are welcome to sit with their families during the service or join the Junior Church leaders at the front of the Church. The younger children usually participate in the hymns with the percussion instruments available there! The first Sunday morning of each month is a Family Service; the older children participate in the whole service, whilst those of Primary school age leave as usual for worship time together. During most baptismal services the children's programme will be adjusted so that they can observe the baptisms. Junior Church activities continue until the service ends and the younger children are then collected by their parents/carers.
